I have physical access needs, who do I talk to about where I sit?
There will be an option to select accessible seating during the ticket purchasing process. If you purchase accessible seats, the Lyric Theatre Team will call you following your purchase to discuss the details of your visit. If you have any questions regarding accessible seating, please call 855-551-9777.

Is the Lyric Theatre accessible?
Wheelchair access is available at our 42nd Street and 43rd Street entrances. There are designated ADA locations in the Orchestra and Dress Circle levels, with elevator access available to both. There is no elevator access to the Balcony level. Accessible restrooms are located in the Dress Circle lobby.

The theatre is equipped with an infrared listening device system.

Are there any planned performances for patrons with special access needs?
GalaPro is now available for Cursed Child patrons in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese. GalaPro is a free app for on-demand captioning and audio description that you can use on your personal smartphone device. GalaPro makes theatre accessible for patrons who are hearing or sight impaired, or just don’t want to miss a word of the show. Closed captioning is available for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Does the Lyric Theatre accommodate sensory needs?
Yes, the Lyric Theatre is certified with KultureCity. The venue offers sensory bags, is equipped with noise canceling headphones (provided by Puro Sound Labs), fidget tools, verbal cue cards, and weighted lap pads. Prior to attending, you can download the free KultureCity App to view what sensory features are available and where they can be accessed.​

What is the running time?
The reimagined staging of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is an epic adventure like nothing ever seen on Broadway. Packed with thrilling stage magic and electrifying storytelling, this unique, spellbinding theatrical event runs approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes including an intermission.

Does this production use a strobe light?
Yes. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child features the use of strobe lights, and other visual and sound effects.

Are there animals in the production?
During the performance, you will see some birds in cages, but please note, these birds are not real – just very realistic pieces from our brilliant props department! There are no real birds featured in the production.

What is the age suitability?
The show is suitable for ages 8 and up. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Children under 5 are not permitted in the theatre. Please note that children under the age of 15 will not be admitted to the theatre without the accompaniment of an adult.

Will the cast always be the same?
The appearance of any particular cast member cannot be guaranteed in the unforeseen event of illness, contractual leave or other circumstances beyond our control.

Health & Safety
As of July 1, 2022, masks will no longer be required for audiences in Broadway venues including at the Lyric Theatre. Masking is still strongly recommend while inside the theatre unless you are actively eating or drinking.
